Rare are the companies who will let you work from home, let alone while travelling overseas. Companies normally stick to the old fashion style of having their employees at hand in the office. Some people however manage to get out of the office and work at home, which is beneficial to the company as it saves office space and beneficial to the employee as he saves time on transportation to and from the office.When I was an accountant for a large American company, back in year 2000, I used to work from home one day a week which is good but not great since I didn't have the freedom that I now enjoy. I am a freelance publisher and my job is online. I write articles while travelling. I travel the world staying as long as I want in each location that I choose. This article, for example, was written in Malaysia, where I enjoyed discovering the Malaysian culture and live a Malaysian lifestyle for five months from beginning if February to end of June 2010.
Before my stay in Malaysia, I have lived in Vietnam for a while. I am very free, my wife and my kid also enjoy this no strings attached lifestyle. The tools I use fit in one laptop. To publish my articles and blog post all I need is in an internet connection. You can now connect to internet on the most remote island in Thailand, which is where I will spend most of next year, enjoying the sandy beach and the local food with my family. I travel as I wish, I work when I want, where I want and as much as I want. Travelling with your job means you can travel non stop, without dreading going back to the office.
